Gallup has run a “Most Admired’ poll every year since 1946 (with the exception of one random year according to ABC News). For 22 years, Hillary Clinton has appeared on that list for the women. In fact, the past 17 of which she was named the Most Admired Woman. But this year, Hillary has been dethroned.
Claiming the top spot in 2018 is non other than Michelle Obama. ABC News attributes the change to Hillary Clinton’s shift to privacy over publicity. Michelle has pretty much stepped into the space once occupied by Hillary. Plus, she has a number one book right now and is touring to support it.
For the 11th year in a row, Barack Obama, you know, Michelle’s husband, has been named the Most Admire Man. People are allowed to choose anyone alive anywhere in the world for the poll.
Oprah Winfrey came in second followed by Hillary and Melanie who tied for third.
