When it comes to sweets, candy is my biggest weakness, so this could be dangerous! According to Vivino, there’s an actual suggested wine pairing for some of the most popular Halloween candies.
Whether you prefer fruity candy or chocolate, there is a wine pairing for everyone and not going to lie that a Kit Kat with a pinot noir sounds delicious! Here are some of our favorite wine pairings:
- Hershey’s and Syrah – A red like a Syrah with flavors of black pepper and black fruit pairs well with straight milk chocolate.
- Kit Kats and Pinot Noir – Having a Pinot Noir with a Kit Kat can make it taste like a chocolate-dipped raspberry.
- Reese’s Pumpkins and Gamay – Gamay and Reese’s somehow makes the ultimate PB & J combo.
- M&M’s and Port – The dark, sweet, and dried fruit character of Port is a great counterpoint to the milk chocolate in M&M’s and the crunchy candy shell also complements this red wine.
